Grain safety programs

Grain safety programs help grain handlers prevent and manage risks to grain safety during handling, storage and transportation. The Canadian Grain Commission offers programs that support safe practices, meet regulatory requirements and protect Canada’s grain supply. These programs apply to licensed grain handling operations.

Canadian Identity Preserved Recognition System (CIPRS)

Certifies that a company’s identity preserved system for the production, handling and transportation of specialty grains, oilseeds or pulses is effective

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (CGC HACCP)

Certifies that a grain company’s grain safety quality management system meets the grain safety requirements of the national Food Safety and Identity Quality Management System Preserved Standard

Canadian Identity Preserved System and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (CIPRS + HACCP)

Certifies that a company’s grain safety and identity preserved quality management system meets the requirements of the national Food Safety and Identity Preserved Quality Management System Standard
