As a proud Edmontonian, the Honourable Eleanor Olszewski has represented the riding of Edmonton Centre since April 2025.
In May of 2025, Minister Olszewski was named Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience and Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada.
Minister Olszewski is a distinguished legal professional with a strong commitment to advocacy and fairness in the legal system. She is a civil litigator with extensive experience in commercial litigation, insurance defence, and administrative law, with a focus on professional discipline.
After earning her law degree from the University of Alberta, Minister Olszewski became one of the first female partners at an Edmonton law firm. As an advocate, she worked hard to ensure that her clients were treated fairly.
The mother of two grown children, Minister Olszewski lives in Edmonton with her husband Larry.
Minister Olszewski holds a Juris Doctor (JD) in Law and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, both from the University of Alberta.
