We are excited to announce a new initiative marking both the 10-year anniversary of the TRC Calls to Action and Final Report, as well as the 25-year anniversary of the LCC’s Restoring Dignity report: Intergenerational Conversations in Law.
During the 2025-2026 academic year, the LCC will be supporting a series of conversations between current law students and Elders or other experts in Indigenous legal traditions, to be hosted by Canadian faculties of law. The conversations are meant to explore the evolution of Indigenous legal orders before and since the TRC, as well as challenges and opportunities for the next generation with respect to reconciliation.
Partners interested in hosting an intergenerational conversation are invited to submit a proposal by October 6.
More information is available in the Call for Proposals document.
