Access to Information and Privacy 

 

The Access to Information Act gives every Canadian citizen, permanent resident, individual or corporation in Canada the right to request access to records that are under the control of federal government institutions, regardless of their format.

The purpose of the Privacy Act is to protect the privacy of individuals with respect to their personal information. This Act governs the federal government's collection, retention, use and disclosure of that information. It also provides individuals with a right of access to their personal information.

Quarterly Financial Report

Quarterly financial reports are prepared by management as required by section 65.1 of the Financial Administration Act and in the form and manner prescribed by the Treasury Board Accounting Standard 1.3. These reports should be read in conjunction with the Main Estimates and Supplementary Estimates. They have not been subject to an external audit or review.

Departmental Results Report

The Departmental Results Report (DRR) is an annual report tabled in Parliament each Fall. The DRR plays an important role in how government departments report to Parliament and Canadians by providing a snapshot of the Parole Board of Canada's performance and achievements over the past fiscal year as a measure against expected results identified in the corresponding Departmental Plan.

Note: Prior to the 2016-17 iteration, this report was titled: Departmental Performance Report (DPR).

Fees Report

The Fees Report was introduced after the Service Fees Act received royal assent in 2017. It includes new information such as a detailed listing of all fees paid to Parole Board of Canada, fee amounts, total revenue and costs as well as remissions of fees when applicable.

Service performance reporting

Service standards publicly state the level of performance that citizens can reasonably expect to encounter under normal circumstances. As part of its ongoing commitment to quality client service, the Parole Board of Canada has developed standards for its services.

Public Safety Canada Portfolio Report - Victim Complaint Resolution Mechanisms

This annual report, published by the National Office for Victims (NOV) at Public Safety Canada, includes a brief description of victims’ rights, the mandates of Public Safety Canada and its victim serving portfolio agencies; a statistical overview of CVBR complaints submitted, and a summary of complaints received and how they were resolved.

Planning 

Departmental Plan

The Departmental Plan is an annual report tabled in Parliament each Spring which provides parliamentarians and Canadians with a high-level summary of the Parole Board of Canada's plans and priorities.
