Official language rights
Official language rights are protected in Canada by the Official Languages Act and enforced by the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages. The goal of the Commissioner is to ensure that the status of each of the official languages is recognized and administered within federal institutions, and to promote the advancement of English and French in Canadian society.

Language rights funding
As announced on February 7, 2017, the current Language Rights Support Program will be replaced by the modernized Court Challenges Program.
