Directions for preparation and use

Preparing your baby's feed

Because powdered infant formulas are not sterile, failure to follow instructions may make your baby ill.

  1. Wash hands and sterilise all utensils according to manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Boil 1 litre of fresh water. Leave kettle to cool for 30 minutes and no longer. Measure the required amount of water (refer to feeding guide) into a sterilised bottle. Be careful of scalding. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
  3. Using the scoop provided, level off the powder with the back of a clean dry knife. Do not press/heap the powder.
  4. Add the correct measure of powder to the water. Adding too many or too few scoops can be harmful.
  5. Cap the bottle and shake vertically and vigorously for 25 seconds to dissolve the powder. Remove cap and replace with a sterilised teat.
  6. Cool under running tap. Check temperature of feed. Feed immediately.

Important feeding instructions

Make up each feed as required. For hygiene reasons, do not store made up feeds and always discard unfinished feeds as soon as possible and always within 2 hours. Never add extra scoops or anything else to your baby's feed. Do not heat feeds in a microwave, hot spots may occur and cause scalding. If necessary, offer cooled, boiled water between feeds. Never leave your baby alone while feeding.

Always use the scoop provided, please note the colour of the scoop may change from time to time. When bottle feeding do not allow prolonged or frequent contact of milk feeds with you baby's teeth as this increases the risk of tooth decay. Ask your healthcare professional or dentist for advice. Make sure your baby's teeth are cleaned after the last feed at night. Once opened, reseal packaging, store in a cool dry place (not a refrigerator) and use within one month.

Storage

Store unopened cans at room temperature. Avoid extreme temperatures.

Cover opened can with provided lid and store in a cool, dry place. Use within one (1) month of opening. Do not consume the product if the metal seal is broken.

Nutricia - Our Unique Expertise - 40 years of research

Allergy is an overreaction of the immune system to substances in food or the environment. Cow's milk allergy is one of the most common allergies amongst infants and involved an immune reaction to the protein present in cow's milk.

NUTRICIA has over 120 years of expertise in early life science and has been pioneering research for 40 years with our passionate team of more than 500 scientist and experts. Our research has enabled us to develop Aptamil® Pepti 1, specifically designed for babies who have been diagnosed with cow's milk allergy.

Aptamil® Pepti 1 is a food for special medical purposes

Aptamil® Pepti 1 is an extensively hydrolysed formula in which the milk proteins present have been broken down (hydrolysed) to reduce the likelihood of them causing an allergic reaction.

Aptamil® Pepti 1 is a nutritionally complete formula, suitable from birth, and can be used to replace cow's milk in drinks and cooked dishes at the introduction of weaning. Due to the formulation of Aptamil® Pepti 1 you may notice that your baby's stools become looser and more green in colour.
