Recorded Warning, Remedial Measures

Case Summary

F&R Date: 2021–03–19

The grievor took issue with a recorded warning (RW) he had been issued for conduct deficiency. The grievor denied the facts on which the RW was based, asked that it be removed from his records, and requested redress.

The Initial Authority (IA) did not grant redress. The IA concluded that the evidence pointed to the deficiency and that the RW was justified.

The Committee found that the evidence on file showed that the grievor had knowingly ignored the directives from his chain of command and was trying to justify his actions. The Committee therefore concluded that the RW was justified and recommended that the Final Authority (FA) not grant the grievor redress.

FA Decision Summary

The Director Canadian Forces Grievance Authority, acting as FA, agreed with the Committee's findings and recommendation to deny the grievor redress.
