Vision
The Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada (ATSSC) will be recognized as a centre of excellence for:
- service delivery
- innovative, efficient and effective operations
- supporting improved access to justice
Mission
The ATSSC provides high-quality services to the tribunals and other administrative bodies and the people we serve by:
- being responsive to their needs
- preserving the organizations’ independence, neutrality and reputation for excellence
- fostering the development of cooperative, engaged and knowledgeable employees
Mandate and role
The ATSSC was established with the coming into force on November 1, 2014, of the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada Act. The ATSSC is responsible for providing support services and facilities to 13 administrative tribunals, boards and councils, as well as two territorial bodies, by way of a single, integrated organization.
These services include the specialized services required to support the mandate of each organization (registry services, legal services and mandate and member services), as well as internal services (human resources, financial services, information management and technology, accommodation, security, planning, and communications). Through these specialized services, the ATSSC supports improving access to justice for Canadians.
