About the Canada Impact+ Research Chairs program

Governance

A tri-agency initiative

The Canada Impact+ Research Chairs program is a tri-agency initiative of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. It is administered by the Tri-agency Institutional Programs Secretariat (TIPS), which is housed within SSHRC.

TIPS is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Canada Impact+ Research Chairs.

TIPS reports to a steering committee, which is responsible for providing strategic direction for the program and is the body that ultimately approves funding recommendations.
