The Afghanistan Memorial Hall can be visited by anyone. Military members, we have veterans and the public.

I’m from Ottawa, from Kanata, but having served in the military for 30 plus years.

I very much wanted to come and see the memorial and how we would be remembering the people we lost, there, in Afghanistan.

The tour today was excellent. It’s a beautiful memorial. It’s in here. It’s where the serving member can see it.

It reflects the Afghanistan mission, complete with the boulder as you enter the memorial itself and the building itself. It captures, I think really, the spirit of what the memorial was back in Kandahar itself.

It was a really demanding mission that our people were on there, but to reflect upon it and have the memorial here is excellent. I think it really does the service member justice and the serving member today.

It's a great opportunity. Anyone should come and visit, and I'm really proud to be here.
