Upon request, the Canadian Grain Commission will provide a portion of the representative sample taken during inspection of ships, railway cars, trucks or containers. All samples will be sealed with a Canadian Grain Commission seal.
Who can request a sample
Grain companies that are exporting grain may request a portion of the representative sample taken of the cargo during official inspection. Only the company exporting that specific cargo of grain may request a sample. This service is only available for shipments of regulated grains. There is a fee for this service.
How to request a sample
To request a sample, tell the Canadian Grain Commission employee conducting the official inspection for the shipment that you would like a portion of the representative sample. The sample will be provided when the ship, railway car, truck or container is finished being loaded.
