What do we buy

Public Services and Procurement Canada seeks to establish a NMSO for government departments, agencies, Crown corporations, and organizations participating in the Canadian Collaborative Procurement Initiative (CCPI). This NMSO includes areas subject to Comprehensive Land Claim Agreements (CLCAs).

This procurement tool is used to purchase or replace current Microwave Point to Point (PTP) Radios as well as accessories necessary to their operation such as mounting brackets and cabling. These PTP radios will be acquired with required accessories for installation in Canada where the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have radio communications.

How do we buy

  • PTP microwave radio units are procured via a call-up against the standing offer (SO)
  • A request for standing offer (RFSO) will be published on CanadaBuys for 40 calendar days
  • The period of the SO is for 3 years with the option to extend the offer by 2 option period of 1 year each
