What do we buy
The temporary help services (THS) standing offers (SO) provide as and when requested temporary help services, including replacing staff who are on leave or short-term increase of workloads from 4 hours up to 48 weeks, to all federal government departments and agencies in the Ontario Region excluding the National Capital Region.
How do we buy
- Standing offers are used to buy temporary help services in Ontario Region excluding the National Capital Region.
- The Ontario Region excluding the National Capital Region is broken down into 18 geographical areas.
- There are 4 main types of personnel available including:
- Professional and administration
- Administrative support
- Technical and operational
- Telecommunications and engineering
- The 4 groups are further broken down to a total of 27 specific categories with some categories listing junior, intermediate and senior levels.
- There are 110 active SO that have resulted from a competitive solicitation. All suppliers that met the Mandatory Criteria (including financial) and were issued a standing offer.
- The lowest priced supplier for each resource category in a specific geographic area will receive the call-up. If they are not able to provide a resource, then the next lowest price supplier will be issued the call-up.
- The prices of the suppliers are competed in every category in every geographic area of the Ontario Region every 6 months therefore the best prices are available to the Government Departments.
