The Honourable Terry Beech, Minister of Citizens’ Services and Member of Parliament for Burnaby North – Seymour, on behalf of the Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of Emergency Preparedness and Minister responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada (PacifiCan), will announce funding for two projects that will build Canada’s clean economy and support entrepreneurs in B.C.
On Monday, the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services, convened an economic reconciliation roundtable at the Bank of Canada between Indigenous leaders from National Indigenous Organizations and economic institutions, executives from Canadian banks and the financial sector, and federal Ministers and senior officials to identify opportunities to reduce economic barriers for Indigenous Peoples and advance economic reconciliation.
Today, Colonel Catherine Marchetti, Commander of 7 Wing (Space) and Director of the Canadian Space Operations Centre, alongside industry partners, announced the establishment of the Canadian Commercial Integration Cell (CIC) at 7 Wing (Space). Industry partners Mike Greenley, Chief Executive Officer at MDA Space, and Michèle Beck, Senior Vice President, Canadian Sales at Telesat, were present at the announcement, which took place at this year’s CANSEC Defence Trade Show in Ottawa.
