Each year, the Canadian Grain Commission reports on the end-use quality of Canadian grain in the annual harvest and in exports. Methods and tests for measuring quality parameters are provided.

Methods and tests used to measure quality

Quality data is compiled from the results of analytical tests performed in the Grain Research Laboratory. These tests are conducted according to standardized procedures and methods. Each time a test is performed on a composite sample, the method for that test is closely followed. That way, results are reliable and accurate and quality data can be compared from year to year.
