Suspected cocaine found in false floor of cargo container

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced a seizure of suspected cocaine found in a cargo container.

On May 5, 2017, Border Services Officers (BSOs) were inspecting a cargo container on a flight from Trinidad and Tobago at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport. Upon examining the container further, a false floor was discovered by the BSOs. When opening the floor, 38 bricks of suspected cocaine weighing over 43 kg were found.

The suspected cocaine was turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
