Suspected cocaine seized at Toronto Pearson International Airport
News Release
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today that 20 kilograms of suspected cocaine was seized at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
On November 25, 2017, border services officers noticed an unclaimed backpack on the baggage carousel. The bag, off a flight from the Dominican Republic, was x-rayed and the images showed multiple brick-like objects inside. Further testing of the packages indicated the substance was suspected cocaine. In total, 18 bricks of suspected cocaine were seized.
The suspected cocaine was turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
