Official opening for expanded Emerson border crossing

Media advisory

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) invites members of the media to the official opening of the expanded Emerson port of entry (POE).

The Honourable Jim Carr, Minister of International Trade Diversification and Member of Parliament for Winnipeg South Centre, on behalf of the Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, will deliver opening remarks. A ribbon-cutting and a brief tour of the new areas of the facility will follow.

                          Highway 75

                          Emerson, MB

Media must arrive by 10:15 a.m. CDT and bring credentials and photo identification. Photography and videography will be restricted to specific areas only. Members of the travelling public may not be filmed or interviewed on CBSA property.
