Thunder Bay Office Closure

News release

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Thunder Bay office advises the Thunder Bay commercial and local business community that the CBSA office is currently closed until further notice.

Following notification that a contracted, non-Agency support worker has tested positive for COVID-19, the CBSA took action and closed its office located at 201 North May St.

The CBSA is following procedures outlined by the Public Health Agency of Canada. All CBSA staff from this location have been notified and are now at home, self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms. Businesses and partners who operate out of the same building have also been informed.

Measures are being implemented to thoroughly clean and sanitize the CBSA office as well.

Processes are in place to ensure that services provided by this office will now be provided through the Pigeon River port of entry. CBSA will continue to advise the clients of the Thunder Bay office on any further changes to border services resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic response.

Our concern for and commitment to the health, well-being, and safety of our employees and the public are our greatest priority.
