New Collection data export tool now available
We’re pleased to announce the launch of the Collection data export tool, a new feature that allows users to download large datasets from Library and Archives Canada (LAC) collections. This feature makes it easier to access, research, and analyze collection data.
Census datasets, which are the most requested resources at LAC, are currently available through the tool, but we have plans to add more datasets for export over time. We designed the tool with ease of use in mind: you simply select a dataset, accept the copyright notice, and then download the data in just a few clicks.
Giving users direct access to these datasets is just one way we’re working to improve access, transparency, and efficiency while meeting evolving user needs.
