Documentary Heritage Communities Program
End of the Documentary Heritage Communities Program
Library and Archives Canada ends the Documentary Heritage Communities Program (DHCP). This decision is part of the Comprehensive Expenditure Review announced at the beginning of the summer 2025 by the federal government and the adoption of the Budget 2025, on November 17.
We would like to thank everyone who participated and contributed to this program over the past 10 years. Your commitment has been invaluable.
Every year we provide funding to documentary heritage organizations across the country. This helps ensure that Canada's continuing memory is documented, preserved and available to the public.
Organizations can apply for funding during our annual call for proposals in the fall.
Consult our Past recipients and Current recipients web pages for information on past and current projects funded by the DHCP.
