Presentations and workshops

Library and Archives Canada (LAC) offers a variety of activities designed to help participants explore our collections and become familiar with research at LAC. These activities are available for groups of students, researchers, government employees and genealogy enthusiasts. These activities take place at our four service points across the country: Ottawa, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Halifax. Online activities are also available.

We provide in-person and virtual presentations that teach participants how to search LAC’s collections effectively. Attendees will learn about our research tools and services.

For groups in the National Capital Region, in-person presentations include an orientation tour of our service
point in Ottawa.

Workshops

We offer virtual and in-person workshops on selected topics. It is also possible to meet with LAC content experts who specialize in various facets of our collection.
