4. After you apply

After submitting your application, you can check its status in the application portal.

Eligible and complete applications will be assessed on:

• Alignment with program objectives
• Clear alignment with military priority areas of Canada or its allies and partners
• Clear and lasting economic benefits for British Columbia
• Strong governance and management
• Financial capacity
• Technology readiness level (for technology commercialization projects)
• Alignment with the Buy Canadian policy (i.e., ability to procure goods and services from Canadian suppliers)

For proposals that involve new technological innovations, a technical assessment may be done by the National Research Council’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP), or by another external party contracted by PacifiCan.

Decisions are informed by program priorities and budgets, which may change at any time. Submitting a full application does not guarantee funding.
