About the artist and instructor

Feza Lugoma is a multidisciplinary Canadian artist of Congolese descent whose practice spans photography, collage and sound art. Rooted in the exploration of personal, familial and public archives, her work weaves narratives of migration, social justice, memory and kinship, while cultivating spaces that foster creativity and community connection.

What is the Art from the Archives series?

Designed to spark your creativity, this series invites you to explore the lesser-known artworks from the collections preserved at LAC. Each workshop begins with a brief presentation of selected artworks and archives, followed by a creative activity led by a local artist. All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary!
