400 Tactical Helicopter Squadron (THS) is a 1 Wing squadron housed at Canadian Forces Base Borden, Ontario. 400 THS operates as an Aviation Maintenance Squadron (AMS) supporting the 1 Wing CH-146 Griffon helicopter fleet for second line maintenance, conducting 300 and 600 hour inspections.

As the 1 Wing AMS, 400 THS not only conducts maintenance inspections, but also maintains a moderate level of operational preparedness at the individual level, ensuring members remain part of the wider 1 Wing deployable pool of personnel. Flying operations include pre-induction test flights, post-maintenance ground runs and test flights, currency flying, and transit flights (to pick up and drop off aircraft from/to other squadrons).

400 THS is comprised of a Headquarters Flight, an Operations Flight, a Maintenance Flight, a Maintenance Test Pilot Flight, a Logistics Support Flight, and an Air Reserve Flight.

The complete squadron history is available on the National Defence, Directorate of History and Heritage website.
