Honorary Colonel P.S. (Patrick) Curtis

Mr. Patrick Curtis was appointed as Honorary Colonel of 400 “City of Toronto” Tactical Helicopter Squadron, Borden ON in September 2016.

Honorary Colonel Curtis is the grandson and son of two former Commanding Officers and Honorary Colonels of 400 Squadron. which puts him in a unique position of understanding its history and importance to the RCAF. Air Marshal Wilfred A. Curtis was his grandfather and the 2nd Commanding Officer of 400 Squadron from 1935-1938 as well as a former Honorary Wing Commander. Lieutenant-Colonel Wilfred A. Curtis II was his father and the 20th Commanding Officer of 400 Squadron from 1955-1957 as well as a former Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel.

Honorary Colonel Curtis is an Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager at CIBC Wood Gundy. He has attained numerous industry designations and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

Honorary Colonel Curtis is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. He is currently a Director and Vice-President of the NATO Association of Canada, and a member of the Royal Canadian Military Institute. He is also a member of the Rotary Club - Forest Hill, and the Commonwealth Society of Canada. In 2011, Honorary Colonel Curtis founded Toronto Search and Rescue – Marine, a not-for-profit charity that provides on-water search and rescue on Lake Ontario and boating safety educational outreach to children in grades two and six via the school system.
