Wind Ensemble - Royal Canadian Air Force Band

After being reintroduced in 2016 as an ensemble of the RCAF Band, the Wind Ensemble is quickly gaining a reputation for innovation and musical excellence. The Wind Ensemble has performed in Winnipeg and throughout Canada and continues to raise the profile of the RCAF. Notable international engagements include acting as the Queen’s Guard Band in London, in July 2018, and being part of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, in June 2019.

The Wind Ensemble is dedicated to the next generation of Canadian musicians and often performs at schools and band festivals across the country, aiming to inspire and educate students of all ages.

The professional musicians that make up the core of the Wind Ensemble hail from across Canada and have been trained at Canada’s finest musical institutions. With such training, members are able to display great versatility in style, ranging from classical and jazz to pop and contemporary.
