Captain Scott Boyd
Snowbird 4 – First Line Astern, Canadian Forces Snowbirds
Captain Scott Boyd was born in Burnaby, B.C. His aviation career began at a young age with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets where Captain Boyd received both his Glider and Private Pilot Licenses. In 2008, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces under the Regular Officer Training Program and graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada with a bachelor’s degree in Military Psychology and Leadership.
Captain Boyd was posted to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 2013 for Phase II flight training and received his wings later that year. After completing training on the CT-155 Hawk, he became a flying instructor on the CT-156 Harvard II and accumulated over 1,800 hours of flying experience along with his A Category instructor rating.
Captain Boyd was posted to 431 (Air Demonstration) Squadron, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds in the summer of 2018 and flew as Snowbird 4 in 2019 and Snowbird 5 in 2020. After working as a Standards Officer in 2023, Capt Boyd is returning to the team for 2024 bringing over 2800 hours of military flying experience and over 1000 hours in the CT-114 Tutor.
