Captain Thomas Thornton

Snowbird 7, Outer Left Wing

Captain (Capt) Thomas Thornton was born in Belleville, Ontario. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2005 as an Artillery Officer. In 2012, Capt Thornton transferred into the Royal Canadian Air Force to begin pilot training.

Capt Thornton earned his wings in 2014. Before joining the Snowbirds, he served as an instructor on the CT-155 Hawk at 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School.

He brings over 2,500 hours of experience flying military aircraft.

Capt Thornton flies the 7 Jet in the Outer Left Wing position.
