Corporal Chad Humphreys
Snowbird 2A, Lead Aircraft Structures Technician

Corporal (Cpl) Chad Humphreys was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. As a kid, he was active playing multiple sports and spending time at the family farm south of Moose Jaw near Expanse Saskatchewan.
Cpl Humphreys joined the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in 2000 as an Armoured Soldier and was posted to Lord Strathcona‘s Horse (Royal Canadians) (LdSH(RC)) armoured regiment, where he served for 7 1/2 years. While with the LdSH(RC), he spent time as a driver, surveillance operator, gunner, and loader in both reconnaissance and tank squadrons. He deployed to Kandahar (2002) and Kabul (2004/5), Afghanistan and domestically for the fires in British Columbia (2003).
Taking a short break from the CAF, he worked as a conductor for both Canadian National Railway and Canadian Pacific Railway. Cpl Humphreys re-enrolled with the Saskatchewan Dragoons armoured reconnaissance squadron in 2009 and served another 7 1/2 years filling roles as the supply supervisor and recruiting non-commissioned officer (NCO), in addition to deploying on multiple domestic operations and leading at the troop level.
In 2017, he completed a component to the Regular Force as an Aircraft Structures Technician/Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician. After technician training, he was posted to 431 Air Demonstration Squadron in late 2018.
Cpl Humphreys and his wife, Sarah, are kept busy with their son Huxton, daughter Larcombe and his special needs sister Stacy, along with dogs Coby and Brew, and cat Hazel. All live together in Moose Jaw while building an acreage at his family farm.
He is an avid hockey fan, cheering for both the Moose Jaw Warriors and Edmonton Oilers. He plays hockey and occasionally gets to the mountains for skiing. As a family, they spend a lot of time at their acreage and in the outdoors working towards retirement goals.
Cpl Humphreys is excited for the opportunity to fly with the show team as the Lead Aircraft Structures Technician during the 2025 season.
