Snowbird 6A, Aviation Systems Technician

Corporal (Cpl) Matthew Senior hails from Torbay, Newfoundland and Labrador (NL).

Cpl Senior joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2017 as an Army Reservist with the 1st Battalion Royal Newfoundland Regiment. During his time in the Regiment, Cpl Senior took part in 2 Operation LENTUS deployments including Oromocto, New Brunswick, for the flooding in Spring 2019, and St. John’s, NL, in January 2020.

Cpl Senior transferred from the Primary Reserves to the Regular Force in August 2022 changing his occupation to Aviation Systems Technician. He attended college in Gander, NL, for aircraft maintenance engineering.

After a short period of training at the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology at 16 Wing, Borden, he joined the Snowbirds in October 2024.

This is Cpl Senior’s first year as part of the show team, and he is excited for the opportunity to travel and contribute to the team.
