Master Corporal David McCaig

Master Corporal David McCaig was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, and raised in Colonsay, Saskatchewan.

He attended Colonsay School before joining the Primary Army Reserves in the North Saskatchewan Regiment as an Infantry Soldier and worked in Construction.

In 1999, he attended the Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw and graduated with a diploma in Electronics Service Technology. He worked in electronics repair until joining the Royal Canadian Air Force in 2004 as an Avionics Systems Technician.

His military career has taken him to Greenwood, Nova Scotia, working on the CP-140 Aurora and Cold Lake, Alberta, to work on the CF-18 Hornet. Since 2021, he has been posted with 431 Air Demonstration Squadron – Snowbirds.
