Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) III

Description

Description

The Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) III is a relatively-well protected, all-weather vehicle that can be used on most types of terrain. The vehicle can ford hard-bottomed bodies of water to a depth of 1.5 metres. Capable of speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour on roads, the LAV III gives the commander more options in both combat and non-combat situations.

The LAV III is powered by a water-cooled, 6 cylinder, 350 horsepower, turbo-charged diesel engine with an automatic transmission. The operator can select four or eight-wheel drive.
