Basic Collateral Damage Estimation Course (BCDEC)

The Basic Collateral Damage Estimation Course (BCDEC) is a five day course that enables personnel to estimate collateral damage by applying various level of analysis in support of CAF operations at the unit, formation and national level. The BCDEC teaches CDE methodology to individuals in a targeting or targeting related position, whereas the Advanced Collateral Damage Estimation Course (ACDEC) deals with the operational application of the methodology for personnel which will be employed as CDE Analysts. The BCDEC is a pre-requisite to attend the ACDEC.
