Joint Tactical Targeting Course (JTTC)

The purpose of the Joint Tactical Targeting Course (JTTC) is to instruct the detailed job requirements to perform the duties of a targeteer. Possession of this speciality will enable personnel to plan, co-ordinate, employ and synchronize joint targeting procedures and assess effects in support of CAF operations at the unit, formation and national level. This speciality also enables personnel to be employed as targeteers qualified to advise commanders on the validity of targets, the means to affect such targets and the appropriate means of measuring achieved effects.
