The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development:

The Atlantic Growth Strategy is really a model for this country. This is a true partnership. It really is about leveraging and aligning our priorities and redirecting resources to get desired outcomes, to really see economic growth in this region.

I'm really excited about speaking about a new initiative that we have just launched. It's called the Accelerated Growth Service and this new initiative is really about helping high impact firms across the region scale up, create jobs and generate economic activity. The focus is really to be client-centric. It's about making sure that participating firms have access to coordinated services tailored to their needs at crucial points in the growth of their business.

This is for example about assistance in financing, advisory services or even market intelligence, key aspects that businesses require in order to grow and compete and to scale up. Fifteen firms are already in the program and ten to on board by the end of February with the remaining to be added by the end of the fiscal year.

The overall objective is thirty firms by the end of the fiscal year.
