The business survival rate covers the period from 2002 to 2012, and was calculated by Statistics Canada. The Y axis is the percentage of firms surviving, while the X axis is the duration of survival.

• year 1, ACOA-assisted firms, 87 per cent; unassisted firms, 88 per cent.
• year 2, ACOA-assisted firms, 82 per cent; unassisted firms, 80 per cent.
• year 3, ACOA-assisted firms, 78 per cent; unassisted firms, 74 per cent.
• year 4, ACOA-assisted firms, 76 per cent; unassisted firms, 70 per cent.
• year 5, ACOA-assisted firms, 76 per cent; unassisted firms, 67 per cent.
