Royal Canadian Legion Sees Renovations to Facility in Miscouche

The Miscouche Legion is a popular spot for community events in the region, from regional dart and pool tournaments to community suppers and Remembrance Day ceremonies. One of 18 Royal Canadian Legion branches on Prince Edward Island, it is now undertaking some renovations with assistance from the Government of Canada.
Bobby Morrissey, Member of Parliament for Egmont, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), today announced an investment of $49,619 under the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18 Miscouche.
The renovations will include upgrades to the Veterans Room, relocation of the office area and improvements to the parking area. In Atlantic Canada, CIP 150 is administered through ACOA.
