With this funding, Aux Vieux Chalumeaux was able to build a new sugar bush and purchase the necessary equipment for the transformation of maple water into syrup. The new equipment will give Aux Vieux Chalumeaux the ability to boil and barrel its own product, which will increase operational profits as well as productivity.

The first project was to build a warehouse to protect equipment from the elements and to purchase new high flow pumps and an osmosis system to help improve productivity.
The second project is to expand the sugar bush’s operations, primarily by purchasing and installing 42,500 new taps, extra pumping stations, specialized equipment necessary to retrieve the maple sap, as well as a new building.
