Modernization Helps Edwardsville Company Add Capacity

News release

New technology keeps Supreme Tank Incorporated products competitive and profitable

May 3, 2018 – Edwardsville, NS – Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency

Working with rural-based Atlantic Canadian businesses to modernize and expand operations plays an important role in diversifying the region’s economy. That is why the Government of Canada is investing $200,000 in Supreme Tank Incorporated to support the purchase of machinery and equipment aimed at automating its production processes and improving overall efficiency.

The investment was announced today by the Honourable Mark Eyking, Member of Parliament for Sydney-Victoria, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).

This investment, through ACOA’s Business Development Program, will allow Supreme Tank to install equipment such as a conveyor system, an upgraded painting/drying system, and an automated pressure washer and sleever. Once completed, the project will position Supreme Tank to meet the increasing demand for its products.
This project builds on the Government of Canada and the four Atlantic Provinces’ commitment to drive economic growth in Atlantic Canada through the Atlantic Growth Strategy. The strategy involves targeted actions to support the scaling-up and modernization of rural-based businesses, which are key to Atlantic Canada’s economic diversification and growth.
