Precision Fabrication and Manufacturing Facility to Create up to 35 Jobs

Supporting businesses in rural communities helps create opportunities for business growth and good paying jobs for the middle-class and those looking to join it. Thanks to support from the Government of Canada, D&T Supreme Machining will establish a precision machining and fabrication business in Centreville, NB.

TJ Harvey, Member of Parliament for Tobique-Mactaquac, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), was joined by Don Guest, the owner and operator of D&T Supreme Machining to make the announcement today.

This investment will enable the company to establish its facility and purchase equipment. Once operational, the new facility is expected to create up to 35 new jobs.

The Government of Canada is providing a repayable contribution of $287,500 through ACOA’s Business Development Program, along with $26,250 in non-repayable funding to support the hiring of a quality control consultant.

This project builds on the Government of Canada’s commitment to drive economic growth in Atlantic Canada through the Atlantic Growth Strategy. The Strategy supports economic development in rural communities through investments that will help improve opportunities for businesses, create jobs, and fuel growth in manufacturing, along with other key sectors.
