The Town of Holyrood is strengthening community infrastructure by developing its waterfront area to support the region’s growing tourism sector and create new economic opportunities. The Town of Holyrood is making significant improvements to its waterfront by improving the aesthetics, utility, and functionality of the boardwalk and festival grounds. This initiative will increase tourism and economic development opportunities for the Town of Holyrood and surrounding areas, and will improve amenities for residents and visitors to the region.

• The Government of Canada is investing $112,511 in this project through ACOA’s Innovative Communities Fund (ICF), which focuses on investments that lead to long-term employment and economic capacity building in Atlantic Canadian communities.

• The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Town of Holyrood are each investing $77,408 in the project.
