ACOA investments support jobs, growth and tourism opportunities  in New Brunswick

Backgrounder

The Government of Canada, through ACOA, is investing more than $2.3 million in 13 projects across New Brunswick to help strengthen the tourism industry and position it for a strong recovery once the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

Club les Aventuriers de Charlo $204,975

Buy a new trail groomer.                       

Creekside R&R $125,000

Build five domes in Cocagne, NB.

Fort La Tour Development Authority $99,075           

Support marketing and development at Fort La Tour.

Grand Falls Historical Society $20,000           

Upgrade tourism infrastructure.

Holy Whale Brewing Company $30,440

Purchase equipment to expand production to support the culinary tourism industry.

Isabelle Iriarte and Sebastien Doolaeghe $146,006

Develop a tourism experience in Shediac Bridge.           

McAdam Economic Development Corporation $50,718

Upgrade a campground.

McGuire Chocolate Company Ltd $20,325

Purchase craft chocolate making equipment.

Shediac Bay Yacht Club $300,000

Revamp marina infrastructure.  

The Van Horne Estate on Minister’s Island $615,000

Undertake infrastructure improvements on Minister’s Island.

Tobique First Nation $14,790           

Undertake a tourism assessment and planning for Tobique First Nation.

Town of Bouctouche $616,634

Redevelop the Bouchouche wharf to support aquaculture and tourism activities.           

Village of Balmoral $80,000

Develop a tourist trail linking five Restigouche East communities.
