Federal support helps local tank manufacturer improve operations

The manufacturing industry contributes to a strong Atlantic Canadian economy and is creating good jobs in local communities. That is why the Government of Canada is helping Bursey Manufacturing Inc.  in Conception Bay South, NL improve productivity to meet growing demand for its industrial tanks.

Federal investment helps local business scale-up

Ken McDonald, Member of Parliament for Avalon, on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Minister responsible for ACOA, today announced a repayable contribution of $205,000 to Bursey Manufacturing Inc.

This investment will support a 3,600 square foot expansion of the company’s industrial tank manufacturing facility. With the upgrades, Bursey Manufacturing will be able to improve product quality and ramp up production to meet growing market demands.

Today’s announcement further demonstrates the Government of Canada’s commitment to help businesses in the manufacturing industry to grow and contribute to a stronger economy.

  • Bursey Manufacturing Inc. is a steel fabricator that makes residential and industrial septic and oil tanks, as well as environmental double wall and waste oil tanks. Its commercial clients include oil and gas companies, industrial businesses, and plumbing and heating retailers.

  • The company makes steel products such as plasma cut cutting edges, custom plasma cut fire pits and custom steel fabrications. Its services also include welding, sandblasting, industrial painting and plasma table cutting.
