The Government of Canada invests more than $1,000,000 in seven projects to support growth in Halifax.

The project aims to bring the product to medical facilities and additional markets through activities including supply chain optimization, digital marketing and a national advertising campaign. Outcast Foods Inc. Outcast Foods will implement a strategy to expand its health foods and supplements into retailers across the United States. The plant-based tech firm combats global food waste by upcycling less-than-perfect fruits and vegetables sourced from farmers, producers and retailers into high-value sports and nutrition products, such as protein powders and greens powder. The strategy will help the company rebuild and grow revenue following the pandemic, while maintaining four key employee roles and creating an additional five.  $250,000
