BACKGROUNDER: Kensington and surrounding communities will benefit from investments in public spaces


The Government of Canada invests close to $250,000 in four community shared spaces to stimulate local economies, create jobs, and improve the quality of life of Canadians.

Town of Kensington Updates to the Kensington arena and outdoor pool, including repairs and equipment upgrades, to benefit and encourage the inclusion of youth, general public, and seniors.



Town of Kensington Development of a summer music series, and enhancements to the rail yards and downtown core, including a boardwalk extension and development of green spaces to encourage community participation and to reanimate the neighbourhood.



International Children's Memorial Place Ltd. Renovations to the International Children's Memorial Place, including construction of a new shed, parking lot and accessibility ramp, to support social and economic cohesion in the community.



Rural Municipality of Breadalbane Improvements to energy efficiency of Breadalbane Community Hall including, including window repairs and heat pump installation, to ensure the sustainability of this community gathering space.
