Government of Canada to make announcement related to 9-8-8: Suicide Crisis Helpline

January 15, 2026, Halifax, Nova Scotia –  The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, will make an important announcement related to the 9-8-8: Suicide Crisis Helpline.

Shannon Miedema, Member of Parliament for Halifax, will also participate.

There will be a media availability immediately following the announcement.
