CBSA officers find suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today a significant seizure of over 10 kg of suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.

On January 17, 2016, CBSA officers monitoring the offload of luggage from an aircraft originating from Central America noticed an unclaimed backpack with a seemingly recycled airline luggage tag. After opening the luggage and examining the contents, officers found ten brick shaped bundles.  All the bundles were subsequently tested and found to contain suspected cocaine.

The suspected cocaine was turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
