CBSA officers find suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport
News Release
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today the seizure of eight kilograms of suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.
On March 13, 2016, CBSA officers monitoring the offload of luggage on a flight originating from Curacao noticed an unclaimed black suitcase with a seemingly recycled airline tag. After opening the suitcase and examining the contents, officers found six brick-shaped bundles. All the bundles were subsequently tested and found to contain suspected cocaine.
The suspected cocaine was turned over to Peel Regional Police.
