Well-deserved recognition for CBSA executive

John Dolimount recipient of the Donald G. Dennison Award

On September 27, 2016, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) employee John Dolimount was recognized by the Institute of Public Administration – New Brunswick, as the recipient of the new Donald G. Dennison Award for Public Administration. The award was presented by the Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick, Jocelyne Roy Vienneau, during a ceremony at the Government House in Fredericton.

Mr. Dolimount has worked with the CBSA for 35 years, beginning as a customs inspector at the port of entry in Fortune, Newfoundland and Labrador. Today, he is a respected leader and member of the CBSA senior management team. He is currently interim Director of Enforcement and Intelligence in the Atlantic Region. Mr. Dolimount played a key role in the development and implementation of a program that provides a risk-based, alternative approach for clearing commercial conveyances destined for the Arctic. His leadership style motivates, challenges and empowers employees, allowing them to see themselves in the goals achieved within the Agency.
